04/04/10 :: Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone. Hope you all got lots of chocolately goodness. I got a bad cough and had to wait 24 hours before i could watch the new episode of Dr Who, but it was still nice to have some time off. I even managed to bring myself to complete the first Assassin's Creed before moving on to the second one, which is actually good.

A lot has happened in the last few months. I'm still have a job, which is nice, I've had a chance to work on a few of the company's other projects too, which is interesting. I'm probably not supposed to give away too much information about it though, so I'll shut up...

I'm in the process of refactoring much of my code. The current objective is to tidy up and optimise as much of the code from my Pong game as possible and move it into a shared project. This will then allow me to improve my other games by using the shared code, and build newer games much more quickly. However, even when this is finish and i re-publish the games, the cosmetic differences will be hardly noticable, so I will try and find something else to keep the site interesting in the mean time. I am also changing the pong game into a more interesting game, with a much better title! Details will follow soon.

I have spent some time working on the 'reviews' part of the site. I wanted to praise some of the good games that I have played and rant about the terrible ones. Additionally, I have added a series of at-least-vaguely-game-related rants, that might turn into a regular blog feature. This stuff is still in development, but feel free to check out what is there so far.

01/01/10 :: Happy New Year

I'd like to take this opportunity to say a big hello and a Happy New Year!Best wishes for 2010 and I hope you are surviving the cold weather!

The re-design of the site is still underway and a few new features are on their way. Because of this, some sections of the site are still under construction, so apologies if there are a few blank pages or missing links.

In other news I have managed to land a job at a local games studio. Gateshead-based developer Eutechnyx have graciously agreed to give me a trial (and hopefully a job if i can managed to impress them). However, because of this job, I am unable to spend as much time on my own projects, artwork and this site, but I will try and keep it up to date.

04/12/09 :: Site Update

I've decided to go for a new look for the site. I wanted to make the site brighter, friendlier and more interesting visually. This is still a work in progress, so apologies for the site's appearance during this time.

I've also added this news feature, so I can tell you about the latest updates to the site.
